1. About GIOTTO

GIOTTO is a daily game about the pursuit of perfection.

A new challenge is made available each day. You may have up to three attempts at that day's challenge, subject to the rules shown in the game. If you lock in a score, or use your final attempt, that result is final for that day's challenge.

GIOTTO determines scores using the rules and scoring methods built into each challenge.

2. Playing GIOTTO

You do not need an account to play GIOTTO.

If you play without an account, you can play the daily challenge and receive your result, but your performance does not form part of a registered GIOTTO history, streak or statistics.

You are responsible for the device, browser and internet connection you use to access GIOTTO.

Please do not attempt to interfere with the game, manipulate scores or results, gain unauthorised access to GIOTTO or its systems, or use automated methods to play or interact with the service in a way that interferes with its normal operation.

3. GIOTTO accounts

You must be 16 or over to create a GIOTTO account.

An account allows GIOTTO to remember eligible results and provide features such as your history, streak and statistics.

A result counts towards your registered GIOTTO history only where you are signed in when that result is completed. Results achieved while playing as a guest are not retrospectively added to an account.

You must provide accurate account information and take reasonable steps to keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from something for which GIOTTO is responsible.

4. Scores and results

GIOTTO is a game of precision. Each challenge has its own method for measuring performance and determining a score.

A displayed score is the result produced by GIOTTO's scoring system for that challenge.

100% means genuine perfection according to the scoring rules of that challenge.

We may correct a score, result or record where it has been affected by a technical error, software defect, manipulation or other circumstance that means it does not accurately represent the completed challenge.

5. The 100% Club

A genuine 100% result on a registered, account-bound challenge makes you eligible for The 100% Club.

Eligibility does not automatically publish your identity. Appearing on the public Honour Roll is optional and requires your explicit opt-in.

If you opt in, the Honour Roll displays your chosen display name, the date of the result, and the challenge. It does not display your first name, surname, email address, or other private account details.

You may hide a public Honour Roll entry later. Hiding an entry does not delete or change your private gameplay result or account history.

Guest completions are not eligible for Honour Roll publication because they are not account-bound registered results.

The 100% Club does not provide a cash prize or other financial reward unless GIOTTO expressly states otherwise for a particular promotion.

6. Availability and changes to GIOTTO

We aim to make GIOTTO available every day, but we cannot promise that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

We may need to maintain, fix, update or change GIOTTO from time to time. This can include changes to challenges, scoring systems, features or the way the service operates.

We will not deliberately alter a completed result merely because we later change the design or scoring of a challenge, although corrections may be necessary in the circumstances described in section 4.

7. Intellectual property

GIOTTO, including its name, branding, visual design, game content, challenge designs, text, graphics and software, is protected by intellectual property rights belonging to us or used by us with permission.

You may use GIOTTO for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment.

You may share your own GIOTTO results and screenshots.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit or create an unauthorised derivative of GIOTTO or a substantial part of its content except where the law permits you to do so.

8. Privacy and analytics

Our Privacy Policy explains how GIOTTO handles personal information, account data, local device storage, audience measurement and optional behavioural analytics.

GIOTTO uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate statistical audience measurement of how the site is used, including by guests. Details, limitations and a free opt-out are set out in the Privacy Policy and Privacy Preferences.

Google Analytics is optional behavioural analytics for signed-in registered players who have given the relevant consent. You can change that preference through the Privacy page when signed in. Google Analytics is not used for guest play.

9. Closing an account

You may stop using GIOTTO at any time.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting hello@giotto-game.com. We will handle personal-data deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect GIOTTO, its users or systems; respond to unlawful or abusive use; or address a serious or repeated breach of these Terms.

Where appropriate, we will act proportionately and fairly.

10. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

GIOTTO is currently provided free of charge for personal entertainment.

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses arising from personal use of GIOTTO.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as GIOTTO develops or where necessary for legal, regulatory, security or operational reasons.

The current version will be published on this page with its latest revision date.

If a change materially affects registered users' rights or the way their account is provided, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to their attention.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence that these Terms do not take away.
